Social media design for home textiles
I designed Hometex posts and stories around fabric colour, pattern and texture. The selection spans a Mocha Mousse series, material close-ups, letters built from cushions and an Istanbul announcement, all connected by the fair’s visual identity.
Project context
Home textiles span living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Each piece needed to highlight a different material while keeping Hometex’s fair identity consistent.
Square posts, 4:5 posts and stories called for different layouts. Colour and texture needed to carry the image while keeping the fair dates and venue readable.
Mocha Mousse
Six posts spanning living rooms, kitchens, towels and thread. Different shades of brown keep textiles at the centre of each scene.

Design approach
I carried the warm brown Mocha Mousse palette across six textile scenes. Other posts focus on linen, knitted textures, bamboo fibres and patterned surfaces, using different colours to broaden the selection.
The vertical designs turn fabric into letters, movement and a sense of place. I grouped fair information in a lower band and preserved the source’s “Created By AI!” label on the AI-generated white bedroom.
Colour, pattern and texture
Knitted textures, linen curtains, natural fibres and patterned surfaces. I highlighted each material through a different colour palette and composition.

Story designs
Letters built from cushions, flowing fabric and an Istanbul announcement. I grouped fair information in a shared lower band across the vertical designs.
This selection includes scenes I generated with AI.

Production process
Content and material
I matched monthly topics with textile uses, preparing separate compositions for room settings, material close-ups and fair announcements.
A colour series
I used Mocha Mousse tones across sofas, bed textiles, kitchen fabrics, towels, curtains and thread, keeping one colour family across six posts.
From texture to an idea
I focused on fabric form in the cushion and textile H designs, the flowing blue fabric and the Galata Tower scene.
Layout by format
I prepared square and 4:5 posts alongside vertical stories, adapting headline and image positions while keeping fair information in a shared lower band.
