Typography and scene design for national holidays

I created national-holiday design sets for Grafikcem, exploring different typography and scene choices. The earlier sets were shared as editable PSD files; the latest combines AI-created scenes, including depictions of Atatürk, with text and logo layouts in Photoshop.

Project context

Each set had a fixed publication date, with the work completed one to five days before the holiday. Posts, stories and Behance covers needed to share a theme across different proportions.

The 2023 and 2024 sets used portrait, photographic, sculpture and painting sources; the 2025 set used AI-created scenes. These different sources needed a clear compositional order for headline, date and logo.

Design approach

The 2023 set used large red-and-white “ZAFER” typography with a portrait in the foreground. In 2024, red-and-black portraits and fireworks created a darker atmosphere; each year followed its own visual direction.

In 2025, I used scenes including a study window, a candlelit classroom and a sunlit street with flags. I added headlines, dates and a bottom-left logo to the AI-created images in Photoshop; some vertical stories carried only the logo.

Production process

  1. A direction for each year

    Typography led the 30 August 2023 set, portraits and a red-and-black atmosphere led 29 October 2024, and scenes and lighting led 29 October 2025.

  2. Posts and stories

    I made six posts and six stories for 2023, and eight stories for 2024. The 2025 set contained six posts, six stories and one wide banner.

  3. Presenting the sets

    Behance covers brought the designs together as montages. I shared editable PSDs for the first two sets free of charge and completed each project one to five days before the holiday.
